| Yes...she's definitely waiting for something...I can think of no other feasible reason she would not move to join me here at the epicenter.thought Matsu. Perhaps her Zanpakuto requires a charging time? I will have to force her to unveil it. His fingers danced across his blade, and he said, "Kizu Teisei" again. He removed his sword from the ground, stopping the tremors, and then sent wave after wave of deadly sound blades at her; most of them were aimed low, and crashed to the ground when they missed, throwing up plumes of dust. The ones that were aimed high were sometimes appearing too high, and crashed into the ground around and behind her. | |

| Yuki was thankful when the tremors stopped and the ground was still once more. Though it didn't last long as she saw the play of fingers across the blade before the next attack came in the form of sound waves blasted at her, though oddly enough they were mostly aimed lower to the ground making them easy to dodge by jumping into the air - though she had to be careful of the ones directed above her head, well off target.
The dust made visibility low, though that would affect both of them, but she did notice that she had yet to be hit by the sound waves which, judging by the destructive effects behind her, would be very painful to be hit by. It was almost as though he had extremely poor aim, but that made no sense. We're both waiting. The answer now seemed obvious, and she didn't want to make him wait any longer, having felt the frigid temperature of the ice on her arm and knowing that her attack was ready.
Without further ado Yuki shunpoed forward, dodging the sound waves until she was level with Amatsu. As she moved past him she struck out with her blade across his side. If it hit his skin would become so incredibly cold and numb - as though somebody had poored liquid nitrogen on his side. And even though the ice will only stay on his skin for a few minutes the effects will last much, much longer because his skin would need longer to heat back up from such a cold temperature. Though the one plus for him would be that if she did cut him the wound wouldn't bleed because it would be sealed with ice, and by the time the ice melts off the wound would be still frozen shut. She landed lightly on the ground behind him in a low crouch.

| ooc: you still shouldn't be able to hear anything- but it doesn't really matter in this case
About time, thought Matsu as he saw Yuki start forward. The dust made it difficult to discern her clearly, and he was relying a lot on his ability to sense her reiatsu. All of a sudden she appeared out of the dust, her blade aimed to slash across his side. Matsu reacted instinctively, twisting away from her as she came past him; however the swirling dust had caused him to miscalculate by the tiniest fraction, and her blade bit into his left side.
Instead of a hot burst of pain, Matsu felt instead a feeling of terrible cold and numbness. Looking down, he saw that where her blade hat cut into fabric and flesh was encrusted with ice crystals. Unsurprising, he thought. "Juubun Teishuuha," he said again with the proper fingering, and laid his blade across the ice. It shattered instantly. This did not lessen the pain or numbness, but it would prevent the ice from furthering stiffness in the area.
Matsu looked at Yuki as he raised his sword at her. "Impressive," he said aloud. If her blade is truly that cold, then it is also comparatively more brittle than most blades, as must be all things that are chilled to that level. However...that makes it more dangerous in more than terms of coldness- if it is that brittle, it is also very sharp. And so my strategy must take this into account. He grinned, and then shunpo'd behind her about five feet, which would give her time to turn around. Still smiling, he began raining down heavy blows at her, utilizing the length of his Zanpakuto to his advantage.
His intent was twofold; he hoped that perhaps such a beating would shatter Yuki's blade because it was comparatively more brittle than his own, and he also hoped to force her back to where she had been standing when he had hurled all those Kizu Teisei attacks at her. In fact, he was not even aiming at vital parts of her body per se, he was simply taking every opportunity to give Yuki's blade a solid whack with his own. As he did this, he removed Shinkan so she could hear him.
"What do you say we introduce the element of kido into this match?" he asked as he continued his barrage of blows.

| (OOC: Whoops, I'm sorry, I fixed it up. Also sorry for taking so long to reply ^^)
Rising from the crouch, Yuki saw Amatsu break the ice off with his sword, though she could still see hints of blue skin indicating the temperature in that area - it would be pretty cold. His mouth formed words, and even though she couldn't hear them, she could make out the shapes - 'impressive'. Yuki whirled around to face te direction that her opponent had shunpoed to with just enough time to bring her blade up before the first lot of attacks came. He must be planning something. that much was obvious by the wide grin which split his face, staying in place even as he rained down the attacks, the sound of metal on metal clearly heard - or would have been had she been able to hear.
He kept at a further distance then they had been fighting at, and Yuki could only hazard a guess - probably so he would have enough leverage to put as much force behind his attacks as he was. His attacking method was strange, with seemingly no rhyme or reason other than to attack as hard as he could. Luckily we aren't fighting with wooden practice swords otherwise they would probably have broken by now. And then a lightbulb went off in her head as she thought this. He must think that now her sword was extremely cold it would be easier to break - like snapping off an icicle. However she wasn't a captain for nothing, as if her shikai would have such a huge weakness.
True her blade was now colder than normal and could be brittle, but it was reinforced with many, many threads of woven ice, molded too perfectly for the eye to be able distinguish that it wasn't just solid ice. And also her reiatsu was infused in it to add strength to it, meaning that his attacks wouldn't be able to break her blade. Suddenly Amatsu was talking, and Yuki wondered how she could clearly here his words - he must have removed whatever sound distortion technique he had used. Kido, she was decent at it, and the only way to get better would be to practice.
"Sure." Pushing his blade away she pointed her right finger.
"Hado #1: Sho!" It was simple - in fact the most simple - but Yuki knew that even the most simple kido, when performed by either herself or Amatsu, will be a lot more powerful than if they had been performed by a lower level shinigami.

| Matsu grinned as she used the low level kido spell to push him backward; he did not resist at all, as this gave him precisely the opportunity he was hoping for. As he flew back, he shouted, "Bakudo no Ku: Geki!" and placed his fingers along his blade. A beam of red light surrounded Yuki, immobilizing her briefly. Matsu knew that as a Captain, she would be able to break out pretty soon; however, he only needed her stationary for a moment. "Aika!" he said triumphantly.
Yuki did not know it, but Matsu had pushed her back to where they had been previously fighting for a very good reason; because the area was scarred with his Kizu Teisei attacks. Which meant is was perfectly set up for his most powerful Shikai technique: Aika (means dirge). Instantly, a tornado of reiatsu infused sound blades manifested itself around Yuki. It left little blind spots, and the sound blades came quickly and unmercifully.
And just to seal the deal, Matsu leaped above and over the tornado and rested his fingers upon his sword. "Otohei!" he sent a wall of sound downward, to keep Yuki within the deadly technique for a few more damaging moments. Matsu landed lightly on the other side, but did not sheath his sword, just in case Yuki managed to escape serious injury.

| Yuki realised too late that she had played right into his hands, but she could do nothing as he brought his hand around while calling out the 9th bakudo kido geki. Her body immediately went immobile but she tried to counter this by raising her spirit power to break it. When the spell was broken she knew that she had wasted precious seconds, and in that time Amatsu had once more played his fingers across his blade and saying yet another attack 'aika'. As soon as he said it Yuki could feel the area around her start to whip up as the volume of sound increased exponentially until she was in the eye of a whirlwind of sound, which she could also feel had his reiatsu infused in it.
Sharp waves of sound pushed against her roughly almost like little knives, tearing through her skin. She would have already escaped by now but she had felt another wave of sound forcing her down with great force, obviously complements of Amatsu. It was extremely painful and she could feel the blood dripping freely from the many wounds, which were multipying in number the longer she stayed in the deadly whirlwind. However, even though this was just a friendly match, she would not lose! She was a highly competitive person, and there was only one more thing she could do to remain fighting, if only just by the skin of her teeth.
Suddenly her reiatsu sky-rocketed, heavy waves of power spreading out through the whirlwind and into the surrounding area, darkening the sky. With one word uttered the whirlwind was blown aside as though it was a little gust of sound/wind, and she shunpoed towards Amatsu at extremely high speeds, impossible for the average captain. As she moved past him she slashed across his thigh, aiming at a point that, while not being vital, would still make him lose mobility in that leg. After shooting past him she ended in a roll to help her lose forward momentum and then stoodup straight. The ice covering her left arm had extended to her other arm and across her torso and back providing a solid armour of ice across her skin, though this wasn't noticable except for the ice on her neck.
"My bankai, Yumi Touketsu Suru Hi." Her eyes were serious and the extensive wounds she had got before were still there but she had sealed them with her Toushou, which was still in effect even though she was in bankai now, meaning that they were sealed for the moment. However, she knew that as soon as she was exhausted even to lose reiatsu they would crack and break and she would probably need to go to fourth division. But for now it would do.
